Welcoming visitors to your farm: Kid and family-friendly activities

Families with children are key target customers for many local farms, and there are many strategies – both large and small – that farms can employ to attract more families to their farm. This on-farm workshop at Fletcher Family Farm will teach a range of techniques for providing kid-friendly activities and spaces on farms. Farmer host Cheryl Fletcher will discuss how their farm appeals to families with children through a hay playground, hayrides, pick-your own, school field trips, and more. UVM Extension Specialist Lisa Chase will showcase a range of other examples of how farms welcome families on their farm.
