Twilight Meeting: UMass Vegetable Program’s Research Tour and Pest Roundtable

Where: UMass Crop Research and Education Center, 91 River Rd. Deerfield, MA 01373
Join UMass Extension educators and specialists at the UMass Crop Research and Education Center to tour our ongoing research and participate in a roundtable discussion where you can get crop or pest management questions answered over dinner! Registration is free, but please pre-register so we can order food accordingly.
3 Pesticide Credits will be available.

4-4:05: Wagon ride out to the research plots.

4:05-4:20: Cabbage aphid research (Sue Scheufele)

4:25-4:45: Cucurbit downy mildew research (Sue Scheufele)

4:50-5:00: Basil fusarium research (Kelly Allen, Rob Wick)

5:05-5:25: Nitrogen from cover crops for vegetable crops (Katie Campbell-Nelson, Seedway)

5:25-5:35: Grape and cherry tomato variety trial (Levi Lilly, Vitalis Organic Seeds)

5:35-5:50: Ethnic crops production and marketing (Heriberto Godoy, Frank Mangan)

6:00: Dinner (Atkins Farm Catering) and Roundtable (Angie Maderias, UMass Plant Diagnostic Lab and others!)
