The Climate Change Forum: Let Your Voice be Heard!

October 9, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Massachusetts state legislators will meet to convene a community dialogue on the issue of Climate Change. There will be an overview by each legislator on recent bills and other initiatives they are individually working on, followed by an overview of the recently released Climate Action and Clean Energy Plan from representatives of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission. The floor will then be opened to members of the public to pose questions or to give overviews of their representative group’s efforts. Guest Speakers will include Senator Stanley Rosenberg (D-Amherst), Representative Ellen Story (D-Amherst), Representative Stephen Kulik (D-Worthington), Representative Peter Kocot (D-Northampton, and Representative Paul Mark (D-Peru), as well as representatives from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission. Members of the public representing organizations that are working on climate change are encouraged to attend and share their group’s mission. Tables will be provided for flyers and other information for the general public. This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Office of State Representative Ellen Story, Sustaining Amherst, the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission and The Amherst League of Women Voters. For more information, contact Rebecca Fricke or Stephanie Ciccarello.
