Introduction to Food Systems- Non-credit course at GCC

An introduction to the current state of the global food system and its implications for people, the environment, and our future. Topics include the benefits and drawbacks of the industrial agricultural model; food justice, food security and public health; the real-life challenges to creating a local food system; and innovative responses to meet those challenges.

Meets Thursdays 1-4:50p from 9/4-11/6 and 2 Saturday Field Trips 9/13 & 9/20 from 10a-2:30p.
