Free Farm to School Workshop

This is an educational training for Hampshire County school administrators, business managers, school committee members, and other people in the school environment who are interested in learning about the economic and social benefits of implementing a new – or expanding an existing – farm to school program  at the K-12 level. We’ll discuss how promoting and purchasing locally-grown foods helps raise the profile of your school food service department, what the legalities are around the preferential purchasing of locally-grown products, how to include farm to school language in wellness policies and contract language, and more.

MA Farm to School Staff will be available after the workshop to offer one-on-one technical assistance to participants.
