Ancestral Potluck and Recipe Exchange

Join us for an evening of sharing food and recipes from our families and ancestral past! Bring a dish & recipe to share with the group that reflects your family or family history.
DETAILS
+ Please bring a dish to share with the group. You may bring any dish you like within the theme of family recipes or ancestral recipes. This could be a recipe that’s been handed down through generations, your favorite recipe from your family’s ancestral homeland, a cultural dish from your cultural background, or anything that reflects the history of your family or cultural background.
+ Think of recipes that have meaning to you or your family. Even if it’s simple! Something that reflects your familial, cultural, ethnic, or ancestral background. Along the lines of grandma’s cookie recipe from her mother’s homeland in Poland rather than grandma’s secret chocolate chip cookie recipe. Of course, if your family has created its own history, that’s great too!
+ In addition to your dish, consider bringing a printed copy of your recipe to share with others. If you prefer to save on paper, we will have a recipe mailing list sign-up for everyone to share their recipes digitally.
+ Bonus points for sharing the story, meaning, or history behind your dish!
+ Feel free to bring beverages too! No need to limit to just foods for this (or any) potluck.
+ As always, utensils, drink ware, and plates will be provided. Bringing serving utensils for your dish is appreciated.
