CT NOFA’s 32nd Annual Winter Conference

March 1, 2014

Connecticut’s largest sustainable FOOD conference and includes so much more as well. This year’s keynote speaker is Fred Kirschenmann, Distinguished Fellow for the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University and President of Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture. Throughout the day there will be over 50 diverse workshops taught by professionals bringing hands on expertise from the farm, kitchen, academia, government, and non-profit organizations dedicated to building a sustainable lifestyle. For green activists and organizers the conference has offered workshops on climate change, starting food co-ops, transitioning your town and how to establish a winter farmers market. Find the full list of workshop descriptions and how to register here.
