WRSI: Lady Killigrew Cafe
Phil and Monte talk to Ken Majka, owner of the Lady Killigrew Cafe about his roundabout path to owning a restaurant, whether doing so amid a pandemic qualifies as an Olympic sport, and other quirks of the “iconic Lady K.”
What do local restaurants need to survive these Olympic trials? “Honestly,” says Ken, “We just need you to order stuff.” Your delicious and completely unselfish act of eating out supports them, their staff, and all the local farms and businesses they source from, including:
- Artifact Cider
- Katalyst Kombucha
- Mapleline Farm (“We’ve gotten milk from them since the 90s”)
- Rise Above Bakery (“They’ve taken over making our sandwich bread, and they use local grain from Valley Malt.”)
- Marty’s Local (“We get all of our produce from them.”)
- Queens Greens
- Kitchen Garden Farm
- Real Pickles
- And more!
Whether you dine inside or outside on their amazing patio, you can’t beat their gorgeous location on the Sawmill River at the Montague Bookmill.
