Presenter: Niveen Ismail, PhD, Assistant Professor, Smith College – Picker Engineering Program
Water is a critical resource, playing a leading role in food and energy production. Come learn about and discuss how water is used in food and energy production and novel ways to make the most of this resource through sustainability and reuse efforts.
Niveen received her PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2015 from Stanford University and then joined the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College. She is broadly interested in water sustainability issues and is currently researching how to use natural systems to improve water quality and augment water supplies
