Preserving the Harvest Workshop

This class will focus on making vinegar, lactofermenting, and canning. Participants will take part in making vinegar and can bring home a vinegar starter kit. We will also start sauerkraut, demonstrate the basics of hot-water-bath canning, and explore the biology of each process that leads to safely preserved food.
Cost includes a farmstead continental lunch. Workshops are capped at 12 participants; contact Bear Swamp Orchard at (413) 625-2849 for tickets or more information.
