Funding the Farm: Grant and Loan Opportunities Workshop

Looking for help exploring funding opportunities for your farm? The first half of this workshop will help you learn which grants might be a good fit for your farm, navigate grant application processes, and write successful grant proposals that speak to funders’ priorities and make a strong case for their support. The second half of the workshop will provide information on the range of loan programs and business assistance that farm lenders offer, how different lenders work together, and what they each look for in applicants. Presenters will discuss a range of grant opportunities available through the MA Department of Agricultural Resources, USDA-NRCS, USDA-SARE, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, and other funders; as well as the financing and technical assistance available through Farm Credit East, the Farm Service Agency, the PVGrows Investment Fund, and The Carrot Project.
