11th Annual Bread Festival: Wonder Not! Glories in Gluten

The 11th Annual Bread Festival in Northampton, MA takes this

sticky moment in dietary history to celebrate the much-maligned

gluten: that which binds together civilization itself!

At Hungry Ghost Bread we will have food vendors, live music,

a puppet parade through town, wheat planting and, of course, plenty

of delicious bread.

Our message is simple: Grain is good! Locally-grown, milled and

fermented grain is even better! Fermentation makes ALL the difference.

Sourdough leavening has been making bread gluten digestible for over

10,000 years. Yes, the Neolithic Revolution continues on, everyday, in a mixing bowl

at an artisan bakery very near to you…
